Carbon peel in Puerto Banús, Marbella
A laser treatment over a thin layer of carbon applied to the skin, to deep-clean the pores and bring radiance. It starts with a skin diagnosis, to check that the treatment is right for you.

What does it involve?
We apply a carbon lotion to the skin that works its way into the pores. Then we pass the laser over it: the light is drawn to the carbon particles and removes them along with dead cells, impurities and excess oil. The heat of the laser also stimulates collagen.
It is designed mainly for oily skin, visible pores or acne-prone skin, and for anyone looking for brighter-looking skin. For a longer-lasting effect several sessions may be advised, together with sun protection and suitable home care.

How it goes
Consultation and diagnosis
The doctor examines your skin or the lesion, reviews your history and medication, and tells you whether the treatment is right for you. If a lesion needs further tests, we tell you first.
Preparation
We clean the area and, depending on the treatment, apply a cooling gel or an anaesthetic cream. With laser or pulsed light, you wear protective glasses throughout the session.
Session
We apply the device to the area with settings adapted to your skin. You may feel warmth or tingling; the sensation varies from person to person.
Afterwards
Redness or slight swelling is common and generally short-lived. Avoid direct sun, use high-factor sun protection on the area and follow the instructions we give you for the following days.
Good to know
The doctor assesses in consultation whether the treatment is right for you. As a rule it is not performed during pregnancy, on tanned or recently sun-exposed skin, or if there is an infection or a wound in the area. Some medicines make the skin more sensitive to light: please tell us about all your medication, allergies and previous treatments, any tendency to keloid scars or to dark marks after inflammation, and whether you have a pacemaker or another implant.
Your questions
Can I go back to my routine afterwards?
Generally yes. The skin may stay slightly red for a while. Use sun protection and follow the care advice we give you.
Does it help with acne?
It can help clean oily or acne-prone skin, but it does not replace medical treatment for acne. The doctor assesses your skin and tells you whether it is suitable in your case.
How many sessions are recommended?
A single session already refreshes the skin; for a longer-lasting effect a series is usually suggested. The number and frequency depend on your skin.
Is it a chemical peel?
No. It uses no acids: it combines a carbon lotion with the laser, which lifts it off the skin.
