Sculptra® collagen stimulator in Puerto Banús, Marbella
Sculptra® is a collagen stimulator based on poly-L-lactic acid: it does not fill on the spot, but gradually encourages the skin’s own collagen production. It all starts with a consultation, where the doctor assesses whether the treatment is right for you and how many sessions to plan.

What does it involve?
The doctor injects the poly-L-lactic acid into the areas of the face agreed with you. This substance stimulates natural collagen production, which is why the change does not show on the day but is assessed over time.
A minimum of two sessions is recommended. The exact number, the amount of product and the interval between sessions are decided in consultation, according to your skin. The response varies from person to person.
«If you can’t see the result, does it mean the treatment didn’t work?»

How it goes
Consultation
We examine your skin and talk about what you want. The doctor explains which treatment may suit you and how many sessions to plan, or tells you if now is not the time.
Preparation
We cleanse and disinfect the skin. Depending on the treatment, we first apply a topical anaesthetic cream for your comfort.
Treatment
The doctor makes the injections with a fine needle in the areas agreed with you.
Afterwards
Redness, slight swelling or a small bruise may appear, usually fading within a few days. We give you written aftercare instructions and, if there are several sessions, agree the schedule with you.
Good to know
The doctor assesses in consultation whether the treatment is right for you. As a rule it is not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, nor if there is an active infection or inflammation in the area. Please tell us about your allergies, your medication, especially anticoagulants, and your previous treatments. Changes in the skin are assessed over the weeks and vary from person to person.
Your questions
When do the changes show?
Sculptra® works gradually: nothing shows straight away, because it depends on the collagen your own skin produces. The doctor arranges a follow-up to review progress with you.
How many sessions are needed?
A minimum of two is usually recommended. The doctor tells you the number and interval for your case, and we confirm the quote in writing.
Is it the same as a hyaluronic acid filler?
No. It is a different substance, poly-L-lactic acid, which works by stimulating collagen rather than filling on the spot. The doctor explains which option makes sense for you.
What can happen afterwards?
As a rule you can return to your usual activities the same day. Redness, slight swelling or a small bruise may appear at the injection points, usually fading within a few days. We give you written aftercare instructions.
