What does it involve?
It is a non-medical treatment-room facial combining two techniques. Mechanical exfoliation uses a scrub or a specific tool to lift away dead cells and fine hair. Chemical exfoliation uses alpha or beta hydroxy acids, which loosen the bonds between surface cells.
It is performed on the face and neck, and can be adapted to the décolletage. Once dead cells are removed, the skin can make better use of the products you apply at home.

Good to know
Before each ritual, our team checks the condition of your skin. As a rule we do not perform it on skin that is irritated, broken, sunburnt or has an active infection, such as a cold sore. Please tell us if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you are allergic to any cosmetic, and if you are following a dermatological treatment or have recently had an aesthetic medical treatment. If a mark, a mole or a skin lesion concerns you, one of our doctors examines it first.

How is it different from other exfoliations?
It combines mechanical and gentle chemical exfoliation in the same session. If your skin needs a different approach, we tell you during the assessment.
Will I feel anything?
It is generally not painful. You may feel slight tingling or warmth from the chemical exfoliation actives, which is usually well tolerated.
Can I carry on with my day afterwards?
Yes, no downtime is needed. You can resume your activities as soon as you leave.
How often should it be repeated?
As a guide, every 4 to 6 weeks, together with a home routine that includes hydration and sun protection. The pace is adjusted to your skin.
How long does the session take?
Between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on your skin’s needs and the area treated.
