What does it involve?
It is a non-medical, non-invasive treatment-room procedure. After cleansing the skin, our team uses a microdermabrasion device, with aluminium oxide crystals or an abrasive tip, which gently buffs away the outer layer of dead cells. No chemicals or lasers are used.
At the end we apply a soothing cream or serum. It is mainly performed on the face, and also on the neck, décolletage and hands. It is an option for those who want to refresh their skin without a long recovery time.

Before each ritual, our team checks the condition of your skin. As a rule we do not perform it on skin that is irritated, broken, sunburnt or has an active infection, such as a cold sore. Please tell us if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you are allergic to any cosmetic, and if you are following a dermatological treatment or have recently had an aesthetic medical treatment. If a mark, a mole or a skin lesion concerns you, one of our doctors examines it first.

It uses no chemicals or lasers and is less aggressive than other exfoliation techniques. That is why recovery is minimal or none.
What does it feel like?
It is generally not painful. You may feel gentle warmth or slight tingling during the session, and sometimes brief redness afterwards.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
It can be performed on all skin types, including sensitive skin, but we always check this during the skin assessment.
How many sessions are needed?
Regular sessions are recommended to maintain the result, together with good home care. The pace is decided with you.
