Skin tag removal in Puerto Banús, Marbella
Removal of skin tags, small soft growths that often appear on the neck, in the armpits or in skin folds. The doctor first examines each lesion to confirm the diagnosis and chooses the technique with you.

What does it involve?
Skin tags are small, soft, benign growths that appear mainly on the neck, armpits, eyelids, groin or under the breasts. Depending on their size and location, the doctor can remove them with a laser, with cryotherapy (cold using liquid nitrogen) or with a small excision under local anaesthesia.
The duration depends on the number of lesions. The area may need a few days of care, and new skin tags can appear elsewhere over time; the doctor explains what to expect in your case.

How it goes
Consultation and diagnosis
The doctor examines your skin or the lesion, reviews your history and medication, and tells you whether the treatment is right for you. If a lesion needs further tests, we tell you first.
Preparation
We clean the area and, depending on the treatment, apply a cooling gel or an anaesthetic cream. With laser or pulsed light, you wear protective glasses throughout the session.
Session
We apply the device to the area with settings adapted to your skin. You may feel warmth or tingling; the sensation varies from person to person.
Afterwards
Redness or slight swelling is common and generally short-lived. Avoid direct sun, use high-factor sun protection on the area and follow the instructions we give you for the following days.
Good to know
The doctor assesses in consultation whether the treatment is right for you. As a rule it is not performed during pregnancy, on tanned or recently sun-exposed skin, or if there is an infection or a wound in the area. Some medicines make the skin more sensitive to light: please tell us about all your medication, allergies and previous treatments, any tendency to keloid scars or to dark marks after inflammation, and whether you have a pacemaker or another implant.
Your questions
How do I know it is a skin tag?
Only the doctor can confirm it by examining the lesion. If it looks different or has changed, it is not removed without prior tests, and we tell you so clearly.
Will I feel anything?
You may feel a slight pinch or a burning sensation. If needed, the doctor uses local anaesthesia. The sensation varies from person to person.
Can I carry on with my day afterwards?
In most cases, yes. We give you simple instructions to care for the area over the following days and protect it from the sun.
Can more appear?
Yes, new skin tags can appear over time, in the same area or elsewhere. If so, the doctor examines them before suggesting treatment.
