What does it involve?
It is a non-surgical aesthetic medicine treatment. The doctor injects CE-marked hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally present in the skin, into precise areas of the lip: the border, the Cupid’s bow or the body of the lip.
The amount and the product are decided in consultation, according to the shape of your face and what you want. For women and for men.

How it goes
Consultation
We look at the area, your face and what you want. If the treatment is not right for you, we tell you.
Preparation
We disinfect the skin and apply a topical anaesthetic cream for your comfort.
Treatment
The doctor injects the hyaluronic acid into the areas agreed with you.
Afterwards
Slight swelling or a small bruise may appear, usually fading within a few days. We give you written aftercare instructions and suggest a follow-up.
Good to know
The doctor assesses in consultation whether the treatment is right for you. As a rule it is not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, nor if there is an active infection in the area, such as a cold sore. Please tell us about your allergies, medication and previous treatments.

How long does the result last?
It depends on the product, the area and each person. As a guide, between 6 and 12 months. The doctor explains it in consultation.
Is it painful?
We apply an anaesthetic cream before the treatment for your comfort. The sensation varies from person to person.

Is it reversible?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid can be dissolved if necessary, with a specific product and always on medical advice.
