Kobido facial massage
Kobido, meaning “ancient way of beauty”, is a facial massage from the Japanese tradition that combines rhythmic movements with finger pressure. We begin with a skin assessment to adapt the massage to you.

What does it involve?
Our team alternates kneading, gentle tapping and smoothing over the face and neck. These movements stimulate blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, and their steady rhythm encourages deep relaxation.
It is a manual treatment, with no devices or needles, for anyone who wants their skin to look more rested and radiant. With regular sessions, the skin may look more toned and its texture more even.

How it goes
Skin assessment
We look at your skin and ask about your routine and what you would like. If the ritual is not the most suitable for you, we tell you and suggest another.
Preparation
In a quiet treatment room, we remove make-up and cleanse the skin to prepare it.
The ritual
Our team carries out the protocol agreed with you, step by step, adapting the products and movements to your skin.
Home care advice
We explain how to care for your skin in the following days, with hydration and sun protection, and how often to come back if you wish.
Good to know
Before each ritual, our team checks the condition of your skin. As a rule we do not perform it on skin that is irritated, broken, sunburnt or has an active infection, such as a cold sore. Please tell us if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you are allergic to any cosmetic, and if you are following a dermatological treatment or have recently had an aesthetic medical treatment. If a mark, a mole or a skin lesion concerns you, one of our doctors examines it first.
Your questions
Is it just a relaxing massage?
It is very relaxing, but it also works on the skin: it stimulates circulation and lymphatic drainage. The effects on the skin vary from person to person.
How many sessions?
You can enjoy it as a one-off. To notice changes in skin texture and firmness, several sessions are usually needed.
Is it part of other rituals?
Yes. Every Geisha facial includes a Kobido massage.
Is it suitable for all skin types?
Generally yes. If your skin is irritated or has a lesion, we assess it first during the assessment.
