Facial HIFU, focused ultrasound
High-intensity focused ultrasound that works beneath the skin surface, with no needles or incisions, to address firmness of the face and neck. It all starts with an assessment: we tell you whether HIFU suits your skin and which areas are worth treating.

What does it involve?
The device focuses ultrasound energy at several depths beneath the skin, down to the superficial muscular layer known as the SMAS, without damaging the surface. This targeted heat may stimulate collagen production, supporting firmer skin on the brows, cheeks, jawline, double chin and neck.
It is intended for mild to moderate laxity. It is a non-surgical option, not a substitute for a surgical facelift, and any change tends to be gradual as the skin produces collagen over the following weeks. The number of sessions and any maintenance are decided according to your skin.

How it goes
Consultation
We assess your skin, the firmness of the areas and what you would like. We explain what you can realistically expect and, if a non-surgical technique is not enough in your case, we tell you.
Preparation
We cleanse the skin and mark the agreed areas. Depending on the technique, local anaesthesia is applied or we explain how we keep you comfortable.
Session
The chosen technique is carried out on the areas agreed with you. The duration depends on the technique and the number of areas.
Afterwards
Redness, swelling or a small bruise may appear, usually temporary. We give you written aftercare, including sun protection, and suggest a follow-up.
Good to know
These techniques do not replace surgery and the effect varies from person to person. As a rule they are not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, nor if there is an active infection or lesion in the area. Please tell us about your medication, especially blood thinners, your allergies, whether your skin is tanned and your previous treatments.
Your questions
When does the change show?
It tends to be gradual, because it depends on the collagen the skin produces over the following weeks. The response varies from person to person.
Is it uncomfortable?
You may feel heat or some discomfort during the session, generally well tolerated. The sensation varies from person to person and from area to area.
Are there any after-effects?
Some redness, slight swelling or tenderness may appear, usually temporary. You can generally carry on with your usual activities; we give you written aftercare instructions.
How many sessions are needed?
It often starts with one session. If repeating or maintenance is advisable, we tell you based on how your skin responds.
