Under-eye area in Puerto Banús, Marbella
Softening hollowness under the eyes with hyaluronic acid, without surgery. It is a delicate area: it all starts with a consultation in which the doctor assesses the skin and tells you whether this treatment is right for you.

What does it involve?
The area under the eyes can look hollow and cast shadows. The doctor injects hyaluronic acid into the tear trough to soften that hollowness and the shadow it creates.
Not all dark circles are due to hollowness: some relate to skin colour or to bags, and in those cases filler is not the right indication. That is why the doctor examines the area first and decides with you, or suggests another option.

Preparation
We disinfect the skin and apply a topical anaesthetic cream for your comfort.

Afterwards
Slight swelling or a small bruise may appear, usually fading within a few days. We give you written aftercare instructions and suggest a follow-up.
Good to know
The area under the eyes is delicate and its skin is thin. The doctor assesses in consultation whether the treatment is right for you and, if it is not, tells you so. As a rule it is not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, nor if there is an active infection in the area. Please tell us about your allergies, medication and previous treatments, including any on the eyelids.
Your questions
Does it work for all dark circles?
No. It is indicated when the dark circle is due to hollowness under the eye. If it is mainly due to skin colour or bags, the doctor tells you and, where appropriate, suggests another option.
What if my skin is thin?
Dr Laura J. Leon answers this question in the video on this page. In any case, the doctor examines your skin before deciding.
How long does the result last?
It depends on the product, the area and each person. The doctor gives you an indicative duration for your case in consultation.
Is it painful?
We apply an anaesthetic cream before the treatment for your comfort. The sensation varies from person to person.
Is it reversible?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid can be dissolved if necessary, with a specific product and always on medical advice.
