PhilArt body in Puerto Banús, Marbella
PhilArt is a skin regeneration treatment with polynucleotides that aims to improve the elasticity, hydration and texture of the skin, without adding volume. It all starts with a consultation: the doctor assesses the areas and suggests a protocol, or tells you if it is not the right one.

What does it involve?
PhilArt contains polynucleotides, molecules that stimulate the skin’s natural production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. The doctor applies them by micro-injections in the treated area. Unlike a filler, it does not add volume.
It can be applied to different areas, such as the neck and décolleté; the doctor tells you in consultation which areas to treat and with how many vials. Two or three sessions are usually recommended, 3 to 4 weeks apart. We ask you to arrive about 30 minutes early so we can apply the anaesthetic cream.

How it goes
Consultation
We examine your skin and talk about what you want. The doctor explains which treatment may suit you and how many sessions to plan, or tells you if now is not the time.
Preparation
We cleanse and disinfect the skin. Depending on the treatment, we first apply a topical anaesthetic cream for your comfort.
Treatment
The doctor makes the injections with a fine needle in the areas agreed with you.
Afterwards
Redness, slight swelling or a small bruise may appear, usually fading within a few days. We give you written aftercare instructions and, if there are several sessions, agree the schedule with you.
Good to know
The doctor assesses in consultation whether the treatment is right for you. It is not performed if you are allergic to fish. As a rule it is not done during pregnancy or breastfeeding either, nor if there is an active infection or inflammation in the area. Please tell us about your allergies, medication and previous treatments.
Your questions
Who cannot have this treatment?
It is not performed on people with a fish allergy. The doctor reviews your medical history with you in consultation before suggesting anything.
When do the changes show, and how long do they last?
As a guide, changes are assessed after a few weeks and last 4 to 6 months. It varies from person to person.
What is the difference between 3 and 6 vials?
Both protocols have three sessions; the six-vial one allows a larger area to be treated. The doctor tells you which matches the areas you wish to treat.
What can happen afterwards?
As a rule you can return to your usual activities the same day. Redness, slight swelling or a small bruise may appear at the injection points, usually fading within a few days. We give you written aftercare instructions.
